How do we use wood in The Grove today? We use a lot of imported wood including timber that is being cut down in endangered rainforests.
We’re using very little wood for fuel and we have a lot in our forests close by.
We’re not harvesting wood from our forests.
Our local ‘wood crisis’ is not great but we need to manage our forests so that understorey litter doesn’t build up and turn our forests into a fire hazard.
