U3A Writing Group this morning we had some powerful pieces and read them out to the group. Sharing was very deep and Di’s apple fudge cake was to die for.

This group is so valuable as a forum to write for at about 1500 words a time. The reading aloud to the group and the group feedback also brings a lot of courage around one’s writing. We all have moved a long way and deep trust has built in the group. There was a new bloke there today and I think it really moved him to be part of the group.

All the pieces were very interesting and moving and each so different but valuable in its own way. One piece about a relative’s Alzheimers opened a door into the experience.
