Is this group called Ferny Grove Bushcare Group or Ferny Grove State School Bushcare Group (or are there two separate groups)?

A sign says this is a Habitat Brisbane project funded by the Bushcare Protection Fund.

The area is down behind Ferny Grove Police Station and behind the dog off-leash area. Park on Tramway St.

It is a delightful area large flat grassy area. No concrete walking tracks but there are tracks.

There is a table and chairs which would be nice for a picnic.

Heaps of birds.

Cedar Creek flows through here and when I went down there today it was flowing strongly with quite deep pools very beautiful. Some very large ficus trees make it a delightful scene. A little pile of stones and branches provided a rough ‘bridge’ across the Creek.

Up the other side is a good path through to McGinn Rd coming out near the bridge near Ferny Grove State High School.

Going the other way is a very elaborate multi-section dirt bike track make of hardened mud. Who made it? It looks like you’d have to be a world champion dirt bike rider to ride on it! Following the track up it comes out on Arbor St opposite No. 37.

Back on the other side of the Creek and following the trees around it brings you to the large culverts under Samford Rd. These are high enough to walk through. They lead through to another big flat area of grass by the Creek on the other side and it is here that Cedar Creek joins Kedron Brook to become one Creek Kedron Brook.

At the edge of this area is the Keperra Country Golf Club with a sign saying that if you enter you are warned about the dangers of golf balls and need to take care for your safety.

I walked back up to the footpath along Samford Rd walked across the train tracks then crossed at the traffic lights and back to where I’d parked the car.
