Heaps and heaps of plants were planted. Learned a little about how to do it. Gloves and little shovels were supplied. The holes were pre-dug and some water crystals put in them. We had to tap the containers to get the little seedlings out then bury them so their roots were well covered then press them in firmly and make a bit of a trough for water to catch in.
There was a sausage sizzle free native plants for volunteers and Geckoes were there and gave a show with all their wildlife.
The park at Selkirk Crescent has some good shade and was a very pleasant spot to work along the creek.
