Difficult to assess whether anything is being done in the upper Kedron valley. More housing is being built for people with a disability.

Very important to ensure adult carers get the respite they need.
(It would be interesting to hear from people in our Kedron Brook valley community who are carers to find out whether they feel they are getting the respite they need.)

The budget for disability services has more than doubled in less than a decade. It is one of the big human rights issues of this decade.

Autism spectrum disorders are growing in the community. There is a “Helping Children with Autism” package and a “10-year Disability Plan”. The “AEIOU Program” provides support to families and children with autism.

Andrew Fraser wants “to give people with disabilities assistance to participate in the workplace rather than being stigmatised. It’s about the culture of the workplace.”
