On Australian Story on the ABC tonight they said that ‘singing our landscape has been a deep cultural tradition for 40000 years and it won’t last beyond this generation – most Australians don’t know this.’
This seems a huge thing to lose. Songlines are wonderful things when you learn about them.
Can we treat is as an important project to try to locate songlines and indigenous songs about the environment here and make preserving them a priority?
Can we learn and relearn to sing our landscape here in The Grove?
