Date claimer for “Connected to Forests” Creek Ranger Forum 2011

The Brisbane City Council Creek Ranger Program is currently organising it’s annual forum. This year is the UN International Year of Forests and as such this year’s forum will be entitled ‘Connected to Forests’ .

The aims of this year’s forum….

Increase the knowledge skills and capacity of members of catchment groups bushcare groups and other environmental community groups in the greater Brisbane area.

Provide practical guidance in forest regeneration and recovery techniques.

Learn about options for their sustainable management and protection.

Explore how we connect with natural environments/forests through respect relationships and responsibility.

Participants will come from both urban and rural residential areas and will have an interest in the conservation of Brisbane’s waterways and natural areas (council & private land) and the conservation of the forest across Australia.

This is a FREE EVENT
There will also be a bonus guided tour of Brisbane Forest Park along with a sumptuous lunch

It will be held on: Sunday 22nd May 9am-3pm
Location: Walkabout Creek Conference and Function Centre The Gap.
