Biography
* Born in Longreach Joe Ludwig was first elected to the Senate for Queensland in 1998.
* He is the Minister for Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry.
* A member of the ALP since 1978 he began his career as a training coordinator and industrial inspector and went on to become an Industrial Advocate for the Australian Workers’ Union.
* Joe holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and is a barrister.
* He has also been an Officer in the Australian Army Reserve.
* He lives with his wife and his two daughters in Brisbane.
