What a wonderful morning. We met in Wahminda Park and spent four and a half hours with Bob Mud from Northey Street City Farm learning to make Chinese braziers out of the clay we had gleaned and prepared.

We each made a brazier and they are terrific. They can be used as a little wood-fired stove or even to bake clay objects in. They have a gleeful face opening at the front.

Our next step is to arrange permission with the Fire Brigade to have a firing of them somehow and work out how to do it. The idea is to smoulder them all day in a pile of sawdust then add a wood fire on top.

At the moment they are drying out in our garages.
