As we all face the future together with oil supply crunchtime looming rapidly closer what sort of community are we going to be as the really tough issues close in on us all. The wicked problems with no easy answers or no answers. The Titanic as it sinks.
This is much bigger than the gentlemen letting the ladies go first into the lifeboats. Where are the lifeboats? Is anybody doing anything at all to prepare?
This is more in the order of how we care for a beloved who is dying of an incurable disease but it will sweep all of us up.
Are we a caring community prepared to help as families are caught in the traps of debt fuel and food expenses increasing beyond their income …?
Are we prepared for the security and social order issues?
Are we prepared to reconstruct our expectations of life and adapt to a very different world?
How will we deal with our grief and powerlessness to stop much of it happening?
