Most plants dislike waterlogged soil. Some will die after prolonged flooding.
Water displaces air in the soil and the roots drown.
Flooding also leached out nutrients. Apply fertliser to replace nutrients leached away.
There are commercial products to stimulate root growth and also to combat root rot. Does anyone know what generic products or processes help?
I lost geraniums rosemary and lavender with the waterlogging. These all survived the drought well!
