Biography

* Ronald ‘Bozzie’ Boswell was first elected to represent Queensland in the Senate for the National Party in 1983.
* Prior to entering Parliament he was a manufacturer’s agent in his own small business.
* Since entering Parliament he has been an active campaigner for rural small business social conservative and family causes.
* A staunch monarchist he was a leading figure in the ‘no’ vote campaign for the referendum on whether Australia should become a republic in November 1999.
* He is a vocal opponent of gay marriage as well as the use of the abortion pill RU486 in Australia in line with his overall pro-life stance.
