Grovely State School student Blayd Brown has qualified to represent Queensland at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in 50m freestyle and backstroke. He trains at Ferny Hills Swimming Club. Noah Smith who also trains at the club has also qualified for the Championships qualified for the 50m freestyle and 4x50m freestyle relay teams. The Ferny Hills Swimming club coach is Damian Bromley. Blayd’s trainers are Damian Bromley and Sean Williams. The boys are now training 4-5 times a week and some weekends.
