Some of the problems we have in the night with breathing open mouths snoring dry mouth… may be helped by practising swallowing.

Instead of gulping food down practice actively working the throat muscles to swallow. I’m finding it is making me chew my food more and eat more slowly too.

Waking in the night with a dry mouth start by swallowing at least half a dozen times. Stick at it until the muscles at the back of the tongue and throat are working well in a swallow action. It should also stimulate saliva to flow.
