This is what I call collateral damage. As the supplies of oil run out (the type we’ve built our whole lifestyle on) more marginal (less energy content) hydrocarbons are being drilled for such as coal seam gas. We are so addicted to oil that we will pay ANY price suffer ANY consequence to have oil.
When we destroy our water supply to get hydrocarbons you know we’re well along the track to the train wreck.
