There was a big meeting held at The Hills Community Centre attended by about 130 residents.
A panel of 8 spoke for 3 minutes each then the floor was opened to questions. On the panel were:Dennis Austin (President of the Moreton Bay Ratepayers Action Group) John Black (CEO Unitywater) Murray Watt (State Member for Everton) Cr Bob Millar (Chair Moreton Bay Regional Council Finance Committee; Councillor for Division 11) Peter George (Secretary Moreton Bay Ratepayers Action Group) Cr Brian Battersby (Councillor for Division 10 Moreton Bay Regional Council Ron Krump (local resident and community leader). Jim Soorley (Unitywater board member) spoke at the end.
Geoff McKay of the action group’s Pine Rivers Southasked why Moreton Bay residents were now paying more for water than Brisbane and Sunshine Coast residents.
