Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred in The Gap on 12/7/2011.
A 12-year-old girl was walking along Hilder Road at around 3.35pm after getting off a bus when a man driving a white van slowed down next to her and gestured for her to come up to the car.
The girl kept walking and the man performed a u-turn and followed her. He signalled for her to come up to the van again. As the girl quickly walked away the man followed her for about three houses before stopping.
When the girl turned back around the man had driven away.
The man is described as being around late 20’s to early 30’s with dark hair and an olive complexion. Please see the below COMFIT of the suspect. The vehicle is described as a white van with curtains on the rear side windows. The number plate ended in 83.
Police would like to speak to the man or anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
