Two petitions have been presented by the Moreton Bay Ratepayers Action Group. The demand:
[ul]That a Royal Commission be appointed to investigate the establishment and running of the water grid and justification of those prices.
That the Parliament appoint a Water Ombudsman to oversee and monitor the supply of water to southeast Queensland residents.[/ul]
The Pine Rivers South Branch’s Chairman is Geoff McKay.
He thinks there are too many (6) layers of bureaucracy.
The community is disillusioned with water costs.
Unitywater is the water retailer.
