In 2010 Ferny Grove State School installed a solar electricity system (2kws of solar a 4kw inverter and an IT system) installed to reduce some of the electricity sourced from the grid.
The solar system was installed with all necessary wiring to accommodate the extension to the system of a further 2kws of solar through the [b]National Solar Schools Program[/b].
