Wests Panthers President Tony Currie said there is uncertainty as to the implications of an NRL bid from Intrust Super Cup club Easts Tigers. Wests Panthers became affiliated with Easts Tigers at Queensland Cup level this year. The Panthers already have strong ties t othe Broncos and a bid from Easts would not mean the Panthers would automatically follow the Tigers. If and when any future decisions were made they would have to be in respect to the benefit of the region’s junior players.
