Biography

* Barnaby Joyce has been a Senator for Queensland since 2004.
* He is Leader of The Nationals in the Senate and the Shadow Minister for Regional Development Local Government and Water.
* Born and raised in country Australia close to Tamworth he attended boarding school at Riverview Boys in Sydney.
* Barnaby holds a degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and had his own business as a Certified Practising Accountant prior to entering Parliament.
* A long-time member of St Vincent de Paul he has also served on the Australian Army Reserve and was President of the Balonne Skill Centre whilst raising $1.3 million for its construction in his local town of St George.
* He is married to Natalie and they have four daughters. He describes ‘family and the land’ as his two first loves.
