Golden Valley Keperra Lions coordinated a Clean Up Australia Day activity for many years along Samford Rd. This is no longer happening because insurance provisions do not cover people crossing main roads.
In 2011 they will be joining with Transition The Grove at the Clean Up Australia Day site at Leslie Patrick Park Arana Hills to provide a Sausage Sizzle to the workers who go out and help clean up the local area.
