Wouldn’t you believe it! I was pushing down on a neon light bulb in a lamp fitting to get it to twist into the socket and the bulb disintegrated in my hand. The glass seems particularly fragile or maybe the globe shape is stronger with the same thickness of glass than the windy-tube shape. So beware they break easily.
