This is information from the 100% Renewable Energy Campaign

A huge congratulations is in order! Together with members of 72 local community groups … complete a whopping 14261 conversations on renewable energy with our fellow Australians over the past few months.

Last week the results from these conversations in the electorate of New England were shared with key decision maker Tony Windsor to a packed out Town Hall in Armidale. Mr Windsor told us he’d be working hard to see the carbon price deliver for renewable energy. Check out these pictures and these two short news videos of the evening.

Now it’s time to take these messages on renewable energy from ordinary Australians to the big stage.

Tommorrow myself Jim Jenny Lydia Nicky Andrew Dean Lauriston and Tom from local groups will be going to Canberra to share the findings of the conversations with members of the Climate Change Committee.

We have invited all members of the Climate Committee to join us at 1.15pm on the Parliament House Senate Lawn for a handover of a report outlining the results from our 14000 conversations.

So far we’ve had RVSPs from Senator Milne Adam Bandt and Rob Oakeshott and with a busy parliamentary sitting week we’re waiting to hear back from the rest of the committee members this afternoon.

We’ll be keeping you in the loop with the story as it unfolds tommorrow- and keep an eye on our website early tommorrow for the full report of the conversations.

We’re looking forward to sharing with you news tommorrow of the outcomes of all your hard work!

Cheers
