April 2010: FERNY GROVE TO REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Our school will soon have a solar electricity system installed that will help to reduce some of the electricity sourced from the grid. FGSS will receive 2kws of solar a 4kw inverter and an IT system delivered before 30th June 2010.
The solar system will be installed with all necessary wiring to accommodate the extension to the system of a further 2kws of solar which is available through your current registration with the [b]National Solar Schools Program[/b]. However this is not expected until around May/June of this year when it is envisaged a funding partnership agreement will be developed between DET and the Australian Government
The other component of the program is energy efficiency lighting which our school has already received
