Merle McGovern and Daphne Gibson members of the Wednesday Writers Group have written a book on the history of the Defence Forces in this region.
They are currently researching a ?nephrology for St Williams – a record of all the people who have died in the Parish. They are going right back through all the newspaper death and funeral notices and obituaries locating records that mention funeral services held in the Parish. A huge job but very valuable for this community.
