Dear {usertag:name}
Energy Group Meeting this Sunday
The Glideways in Ferny Grove meeting on Saturday 6 November was delightful. Martin from Geckoes Wildlife Presentations did a great job giving ‘hands-on’ education to both children and adults about the wildlife that lives around The Grove. His extensive menagerie included snakes lizards birds and marsupials. Naturally the star of the show was a cute Squirrel Glider. Everyone wanted to have a touch!
Sunday 14 November – Transition The Grove Energy Group
In November our regular monthly meeting will focus on discussion and planning for the Transition The Grove Energy Group. Community projects that might be considered are:
- A Solar Panel ‘bulk-buy’ project.
- A solar ‘mini expo’.
- Educational seminars on renewable energy.
- …other ideas not yet suggested?
One of the main aims of Transition Towns is to plan and implement a community based Energy Descent Action Plan (EDAP). To find out more here’s a link to the EDAP for Totnes (UK) one of the first Transition Towns.
We will also review the launch of the Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary Energy Plan.
