Community Transition - adapting to the emerging future

Repair Cafe Logo

When: We open on the fourth Saturday each month (except December)

from 9:00am to midday (last time-slot 11:30am).

Where: Grovely-Mitchelton Scout Den at 170 Blaker Road, Keperra

If our volunteer fixers are busy when you arrive you may have to wait your turn to have your broken item looked at. We will manage the queue to make sure everyone is attended to in order of arrival and registration.

If you would like avoid waiting for a volunteer fixer to be available you can book a time-slot for your repair and we will do our best to be ready for you.

Please note that Queensland regulations require that Electrical Mains Voltage – LICENSED (Typically household appliances) repairs MUST be signed-off by a licensed electrician. Volunteers with this qualification are scarce. If no time-slots are available it may be that they are all booked OR that our licensed electrician volunteers are not available on the day. We can still trouble-shoot an electrical item and advise if it is repairable.

Bookings open one week before the workshop (i.e. from the third Saturday each month) once we know which of our volunteer fixers are available. Only one booking, in only one repair category, please, per monthly workshop.

There is no charge for repairs but a donation (by cash or card) to cover operating costs is greatly appreciated.

Bookings are not yet open for the next Repair Cafe The Grove workshop.
