We get some quite nice wooden furniture to repair. Traditional methods of making a typical dining chair relied heavily on dowels and glue. The glue deteriorates with age and, with normal family wear and tear, the joints start to creak and open up. Re-gluing with some modern adhesive and applying some strong clamps, can give a wonky chair a new lease of life. You can enjoy a cuppa and a chat until the glue sets enough for the clamps to come off.
