Ferny Grove Transfer Station Upper Kedron Rd Ferny Grove. Open daily 6.30am-5.45pm for vehicles under 4.5 tonnes. Separate area for green waste. Brisbane City Council ratepayers
Bunya Landfill Site Bunya Rd Bunya. 7am – 6pm (October – March) (7am – 5pm April – September) open 7 days a week 365 days a year. Payment by cash cheque credit card or account by prior arrangement. Accepted waste: All categories except asbestos and contaminated soil. Green waste is processed into mulch. Moreton Bay residents can claim up to two cubic metres of mulch when available free of charge per visit. They can load their own mulch or trailers can be loaded mechanically ( Sat/Sun 9am-12noon-$5/cubic metre). Council strongly recommends using personal protective equipment when handling mulch including heavy duty gloves long-sleeved shirt and pants safety glasses and dust mask or other respiratory aids. Please remember to securely fasten a tarpaulin over your load of mulch prior to exiting the waste management facility. Non-residents and commercial operators wanting to purchase mulch and residents wanting to purchase quantities greater than 2 cubic metres can do so. Trailer loads of shredded mulch can be purchased. Moreton Bay Regional Council ratepayers.
Printer ink used cartridges can be left at Dale Shuttleworth MP’s electoral office Ferny Grove Shopping Village McGinn Rd Ferny Grove for recycling.
Plastic bag recycling: Coles Ferny Grove has a disposal facility for plastic bags to be recycled.
