Lyme Disease
Lyme Disease is the premier tick-borne illness in the world and is the fastest growing vector-born illness. It is usually transmitted through the bite of a tick and can cause mild moderate or severe symptoms. If left untreated it can be fatal. The existence of Lyme disease bacteria in Australian ticks is denied by governments both State and Federal despite much evidence to the contrary. Lyme Disease is called “The Great Imitator” because it can imitate many other diseases such as MS Parkinson’s Disease Motor Neurone Disease (ALS) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Fibromyalgia Guillain-Barre Syndrome Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Lupus and Alzheimer’s Disease. Lyme Disease can affect any organ in the body including brain muscles joints heart and gastrointestinal and neurological systems. Misdiagnosing this illness can be life-threatening.
