Can we talk about practical ways we can keep healthy either keep ourselves healthy or just use local people and resources?
How can we become less dependent on big hospitals big pharma big health insurance?
Maybe the first question is: Can we do anything ourselves to reduce our dependence on hospitals pharma health insurance the Federal and State health budgets?
How are we dependent on hospitals pharma health insurance and the Federal and State health budgets?
For a proportion of us the answer will be: For our livelihoods! We earn our livings in the big health system.
Can we acknowledge that and look at the other side of the question: From the perspective of being healthy individually and as a community are there steps we can take to reduce our dependence on hospitals pharma health insurance and the Federal and State health budgets?
Most of us will already be taking some or a lot of steps personally to look after our own health. Can we discuss what these are; itemise them; build up lists of actions and approaches we can take that assist us in being able to take responsibility for our own health successfully with local resources?
Why does it even matter when after all we have hospitals pharma health insurance and the Federal and State healthy budgets? Why not use them? They work pretty well (extremely well in a lot of cases) although from all our complaints you’d think it was a hopeless system. Why not have lots of CAT scans x-rays take lots of pills have surgery for this and that have lots of tests done expect treatments that costs huge amounts of health funds when our health goes badly wrong expect to be treated in spite of our own lifestyle choices?
