3D DESIGN THROUGH
UP-CYCLING
2:30pm Fri 20 May and 9:30am
Sat 21 May / Lab 2 The Edge State Library at Ideas Festival
Embrace experimentation and creative
play as pathways to fashion design and
clothes-making. Working with the stitchery
collective guys and gals of all ages and
levels of experience are encouraged to
re-mix re-make and re-model everyday
clothing into customised pieces that hold a
beauty all of their own. While you are sewing
you will also discover the history of re-made
clothes and delve into discussions around
the contemporary practice of ‘up-cycling’.
Participants take away both knowledge
and a new piece for their wardrobe.
