I came across a small book at Northey Street City Farm which is an Australia-wide listing of Aboriginal language words (and English equivalents). A fascinating book.
Does anyone know if there is any record of Aboriginal language words from around this area (The Grove)? Or songs? Or Dreamtime stories?
There is some local use of words that may have an Aboriginal origin (Keperra ??the names of the sports teams at some local schools ?Ferny Grove State High School) Does anyone know of any others?
