I was very unsure about posting this report – Johns certainly takes a very hard perspective.
At the same time it may highlight what all of us are facing in terms of resilience and the future.
We have the ancient Australian Aboriginal culture that enabled people to survive in this harsh land for about 40000 years to be the oldest and longest surviving human culture on earth.
Contrast this with the vast power and seductiveness of modern market high-tech Western culture that sweeps all before it YET is likely to survive only for a tiny interlude in total human history at best a couple of centuries. We may well live to see its demise in our own lifetimes.
