Upper Kedron Road will be substantially upgraded. Funding has been secured to commence preliminary consultations planning and design phases for significant future upgrades.
Future upgrades are expected to include straightening of the road a new heavy duty road surface and kerb & channel installation.
Initially the upgrade will be planned for two lanes but the works will be completed in such a way that a further upgrade to four lanes will be possible with minimal expense and delays to ratepayers if required in the future.
These funds have been set aside as part of my commitment to improving road infrastructure across Enoggera Ward. It is important that Upper Kedron Road is improved to ensure it can cope with the increasing development in Upper Kedron and southern Ferny Grove.
