BHP Billiton’s CEO Marius Kloppers backs the Multi-Party Climate Change Committee’s proposal for a price on carbon. AGL Energy’s CEO Michael Fraser has started lobbying for a price of between $20 and $30 per tonne. Grant King managing director of Origin Energy said “Unless the price was probably at least $25 a tonne it is unlikely to cause much difference.” Brett Thomas of Asia-Pacific Group would favour a starting price of about $30.
