Noel Pearson is passionate indigenous voice against welfare dependency and the subculture of dependency alienation and despair.

He argues that we should give men proper jobs and a respectable place in their community and family and bring them into full-fledged membership of the larger community.

He clearly asks for the reconstruction of black families to be the goal instead of welfare.
