I don’t know about everyone else but this stuff scares me stiff. What on earth does it mean to be competing at the grocery store with all the people of China and a whole lot of other countries for basic foodstuffs?
It seems likely to go beyond that – not straight competition for available food supplies if the contracts are all signed up to export all the food overseas to meet the food needs of people there. While we at home back in Australia are left to starve amid the farms all foreign-owned?
This is definitely something our Federal politicians should be moving on urgently to ensure Australian farmlands stay in Australian hands.
