This hammer drill had a broken chuck and the owner had purchased a new one, only to find that the ‘hammering’ action had screwed the old one on so tight that he couldn’t remove it without a special spanner. At Repair Cafe The Grove we were able to adapt an old ordinary spanner by grinding the faces so that it could fit into the narrow space between the chuck and the body. Now it’s like new again.
