The mouth bacteria breeding on the sugar we eat and causing some aspects of heart disease has really hit home to me.
Noticing just how often something sweet or sugary is there to be eaten at some time during the day.
Then I read a comment that it is not so much the total amount of sugar eaten as how often it is eaten. I suppose it is something to do with maintaining sweetness in the mouth for the bacteria to breed/feed on.
Flash of inspiration! Go straight to the bathroom and brush teeth straight after eating anything sweet. Brush with bi-carb soda which kills the oral bacteria. Hopefully that will get the bacteria food out of the mouth before they can gorge on it and multiply and cause heart disease.
So far today I have brushed my teeth 5 times! They sure feel clean and shiny! And my mouth definitely does NOT taste sweet which is the desired goal. Not much there for the sugar bacteria to get their fangs into.
