Interested groups and locals from The Gap including Transition The Gap put in submissions to Brisbane City Council for land and approached their local Councillor. They explored the area for suitable sites. A grant of 3000 square metres of good land has now been made for a community garden. Now they are putting in a grant application for $25000 to the Gambling Fund for watering supply sheds and equipment. They have got all sorts of garden sub-groups active and it is a going affair! They have named it the Yoorala Street Community Garden.
