Heard on the ABC. 770gms carbon emissions per dollar. Probably US$ but the point is that money has an embedded carbon emissions cost. For someone on the average Australian income that’s a lot of carbon. For a CEO that’s seriously immoral.

So one way we can cut carbon emissions is to cut costs.

The more we consume (spend earn to spend) the more carbon emissions we are involved in.

If we spend money on ‘carbon credits’ the money we spend is itself loaded with carbon emissions.

Those CEOs with big incomes truly are reprehensible. The bigger the income the bigger the $-related carbon emissions. It is the ultimately destructive form of greed.

Wealth and big dollars and consumption are killing the planet.
