As Lord Mayor of Brisbane City Council Campbell Newman oversaw a massive growth in debt levels for Brisbane City Council and BCC ratepayers.
Brisbane City Council is now so seriously in debt there is little left for services.
A decade ago as my memory serves it was in the best position of any council in Australia.
We’ve been trying to get clear from the BCC financial statements the exact position but they are very obscure to say the least.
The result is certainly a city riddled with tunnels and a lot of debt.
