The Opposition was given a chance to respond to the Government’s Climate Change community forum last night.
Tony Abbott was asked by Vicky (ex-teacher full-time mum) the following question: “Why do you persist with the scaremongering that the carbon tax will result in the coal industry’s demises when the Financial Review only yesterday said the coal industry will continue to grow by 40%. The advocating of the collapse of the biggest coal industry in the world is both alarmist and damaging. I feel that you’ll oppose anything the Government puts forward just for your own self-interest.”
The resulting exchange between Tony Abbott and Vicky is reported on morning radio as going on for about 5 minutes with Tony not providing any adequate response.
