New pool rules are reported to be coming out beginning of December.

Something like: if you sell or lease you will have to get it checked. If you’re staying you’re ok for 5 years. Pool fence inspection fees are rumoured to be between $130 and $300. Resuscitation plaques must have up-to-date info and they cost about $35. Might need to replace. Will have to have ?800cm space away from pool fence from anything that a child could climb to get over the fence.

Question: If the boundary between the pool area and a neighbour’s yard is a high vertical retaining wall with a low fence on top of it which side counts as the ‘wall height’ for the pool-fenced area?

Is this info about BCC or Moreton Bay Regional Council or both??

Need to find the authoritative source of facts about the new rules.
