Combining fish farming and hydroponics is an effective way to grow protein and good crops (called aquaponics). There is a lot of information around now on how to do it, and some groups are actively promoting it in SE QLD. Yandina Community Gardens have a lot of expertise in this area, and are actively making it happen.
Do we have any locals growing food using hydroponics?
Are fish or crustaceans being grown in local dams? There is heaps of potential!
